Sampreeth Thayyil

Sampreeth holds an educational background in chemistry and life sciences. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Government Arts College, Calicut, in 2013, followed by a Master of Science in Chemistry from Kannur University in 2015. He then pursued an MPhil in Chemistry from Calicut University, completing it in 2017.

In 2022, he earned his PhD in Life Sciences from Hokkaido University, Japan, where his research focused on the design and development of photoresponsive molecules to regulate biological functions. His research interests include developing chemical tools to address biological problems through a chemical-biological approach.

Outside of his research, Sampreeth enjoys activities such as bullet riding, watching films, and listening to music.
