Current position: PhD Student, Heidelberg University
Dhrisya spent one and a half years as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) with us, between September 2021 and June 2023. Currently, she is a PhD student at Heidelberg University exploring the imaging of mRNA molecules in live cells in the Sunbul group.
Dhrisya completed her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Providence Women’s College, Kerala. Subsequently, she received her MSc degree in Applied Chemistry from Cochin University of Science & Technology (CUSAT) in 2020. She conducted research projects at CSIR-NIIST, Thiruvananthapuram, towards her MSc dissertation. Dhrisya’s current research interests span the fields of synthetic organic chemistry and chemical biology, with a focus on the design and development of fluorescent bioimaging agents for cell biology applications.
